It's really tough to start a blog. It took me 5 minutes to create the blog and then 2 months to motivate myself to write something. It wasn't until my friend - who also wanted to start a blog - proposed that we hold each other accountable that I finally find myself sitting here - 2:09 am, a full day after we had first agreed to write our first posts - writing about how hard it was to start writing.
The theme for this blog is focused around my view (not exclusively my view, but a core tenet of my belief system) that the beauty, richness, and nuance of life are revealed and captured not necessarily by our experiences per se, but by the defining moments the operate at the intersection of those experiences. Those defining moments are often decisions that we make to do something (or not do something), to say something (or not say something), or to think something (or not think something). These moments - when successfully actualized - are what enable us to breakthrough the gate / the threshold / the barrier from mediocrity to greatness. This blog is about identifying those moments, understanding what it takes to actualize them, and thus be better able to seize them when they arise.
